Ring Sizes in Turkey: How to Convert Yours
Turkey uses its own numbering, and it is the simplest of all of them: inner circumference in millimetres, minus forty.
| Size | Diameter | Circumference |

How Turkish sizing works
A Turkish ring size is the ring's inner circumference in millimetres, minus 40. A ring measuring 53 mm around the inside is a size 13. That is the whole system.
European sizing uses the circumference directly (53). US sizing runs on its own scale (6½). If you know your size in another system, tell us and we will convert it — or use the converter above.
Method 1 — measure a ring you already own
The most reliable way, if there is a ring that fits the right finger. Lay it on a flat surface and measure from inner edge to inner edge across the widest point with a ruler.
That figure is the inner diameter. Enter it above and the Turkish size appears. Half a millimetre shifts the result by one size, so measure two or three times and make sure you get the same answer.
Method 2 — wrap the finger
No ring available: wrap a thin string or a 1 cm strip of paper around the base of the finger. It should turn comfortably but not slide over the knuckle without resistance.
Mark where the ends meet, unwrap it and measure the length with a ruler. That length is the inner circumference; subtract 40 for the Turkish size.
When to measure
Fingers change through the day. They are thinnest in the morning and swell towards evening and in heat. Measure in the middle of the day, at normal body temperature. A ring sized on a cold hand will be tight.
The dominant hand is usually about half a size larger. Measure the hand the ring will actually be worn on.
If it is a surprise
Borrow a ring she already wears for a day and measure its inner diameter — or press it into a bar of soap or modelling clay and bring the impression.
Asking a close friend or her mother works more often than people expect.
And if it is still wrong: the first resize after delivery is free with us. Coming without a size is better than coming with the wrong one; we size fingers in the shop at no charge.
One exception: full-eternity bands cannot be resized afterwards. If it is a surprise, avoid that style.
Common sizes
In Turkey, women's rings most often fall between 11 and 14, men's between 18 and 22. If you are buying a gift with no information at all, those ranges are a reasonable starting point.
Bring the measurement with you if you can — but the shop measurement takes a minute and is free.

How does Turkish ring sizing work?
A Turkish ring size is the inner circumference in millimetres minus 40. A ring measuring 53 mm around the inside is a size 13.
How do I convert my ring size to Turkish?
If you know your European size, that number is already the circumference in millimetres — subtract 40. If you know the inner diameter in millimetres, enter it in the converter above and the Turkish size appears.
How can I measure my ring size at home?
Either measure the inner diameter of a ring that already fits, from inner edge to inner edge with a ruler, or wrap a string around the base of the finger, mark where it meets and measure that length.
What time of day should I measure?
The middle of the day, at normal body temperature. Fingers are thinnest in the morning and swell towards evening and in heat, so a ring sized on a cold hand will be tight.
What if the size is wrong?
On standard pieces the first resize after delivery is free. Full-eternity bands are the exception — those cannot be resized afterwards, so avoid that style if the size is uncertain.
